What are the requirements for participation?
The following requirements help us to ensure the health and safety of our canine guests and staff, which is our primary concern.
- All guests successfully complete screening visit
- Spayed or neutered (for dogs 6 months and older)
- Flea and Tick prevention program (such as Frontline (Top Line), K9 Advantix, Revolution, SimpleGuard 3, Vectra 3D, Parastar Plus, Sentry Natural Defense, Hartz UltraGuard, NexGard, Bravecto, Credelio, Simparica Trio)
- Current vaccinations
- DHPP (every 3 years)
- Bordetella (every 6 months)
Who will care for my dog?
Laughing Dogs is a cage-free center that is locally owned and operated. Our team of Play Group Leaders oversee canine guests as they interact and play, help to integrate new dogs into group, spot when play is getting carried away, reinforce basic obedience, and provide love and care for all of our dogs. They're also part of the fun - tossing ball for fetch, leading laps around the playroom. And for overnight stays our staff is with your dog 24/7.
How often do dogs attend?
On average, dogs will attend 2-3 times a week, some more, some less. By bringing your dog in once a week, you maintain your dog's familiarity with our center and daily schedule. This contributes positively to your dog's sense of comfort and overall daycare experience. The initial days are spent getting acquainted with his or her new surroundings, peers and staff. To avoid repeating this introductory phase, we highly recommend setting a regular schedule that becomes part of your dog's routine.
What can you expect when you pick-up your companion?
After a day of play (6-8 hours is plenty for any dog), your furry companion will be happy and content. He or she may even fall asleep on the way home!
Will you feed my dog?
We will be happy to feed your dog during our pre-set breakfast, lunch and dinner hours. Since dogs can be finicky about what they eat and a change in food can sometimes cause an upset stomach, we ask that you provide your dog's usual meal, pre-measured and labeled.

We're conveniently located near the entrance to Kailua Town at 131 Hekili Street, right across from the old Pali Lanes Bowling Alley. So pick-up and drop off is fast and easy.
